Stuff

I spent a large part of last week trying to clean and de-junk my living room.  I guess I didn't get around to taking too many pictures or posting on here.  I love having things clutter-free!   Stephen ended up needing to take a test an hour and a half away today.  Thankfully it was the direction of my parents house so we went there yesterday and stayed the night.  We had been planning on going over anyway to visit and pick up a tv that Eric and Tami had left for us.  Stephen passed his test, no problem.  I took only took one picture while we were there, but it is so cute of Porter and Rose playing together.  Can you believe Rose is a senior?  Holy cow!  I am so OLD!

Working at the Car Wash

Our van has desperately needed a wash for a while.  Stephen, Vance, and Tanner decided to tackle it on Saturday. 

The boys were anxiously waiting for Stephen to get everything ready so they could start.

Vance was more business than play.  He wanted to make sure our van got clean before he had too much fun!

Tanner did help wash the car, but he mainly wanted his dad to get him wet.

Porter was pretty mellow and content watching everyone wash the car.

Vance did discover that it was really fun to throw the sponge into the bucket of water and see how big a splash he could make.

Here is proof that Tanner did help wash the car some.

All done!  They had a really good time.  I had quite the trial trying to get them to stand next to the van and look at me at the same time for 2 seconds to snap a picture.

Seven Years

Seven years ago today Stephen and I were married in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.  It was the best day ever!

Now... here we are at Eric's wedding in June.  My mom and sister came and watched the boys for us so we could go see a movie alone.  It was wonderful to have some time alone together.  Thanks again, Mom and Rose!  I hope that it is evident, but I just LOVE my husband. 

What's Been Keeping Me Busy

What's been keeping me busy lately?  Well, I'll tell you (in no particular order) since you asked... :)

1.  Vance
2.  Tanner
3. Porter
4. Trying not to distract Stephen from his school work.
5.  Trying to make sure the boys don't distract Stephen from school work.
6.  Avoiding household chores like cleaning.  (It's never ending)
7.  Gave my Mommy's Little Helper Blog a make over.
8.  Trying to plan and prepare preschool lessons so I can do preschool with Vance and Tanner this year.  I'm trying to make it a little more formal than in the past.  I forgot how time consuming and challenging it can be, but it'll be good.  (assuming what I plan goes through)

9.  Digital Scrapbooking.  I'm slowly trying to learn new techniques in Photoshop Elements to make cooler pages.  Here is one page I've done.

Look who's 5 months old!

Porter is five months old today.  He is a big boy (just in case I haven't mentioned that before).  He is sitting up pretty good these days, he is getting good at holding toys and everything is going straight to the mouth.  He loves to play games especially with his brothers.  He is a fun baby!

Sizes

When you have kids the same gender you end up putting them in a lot of the same outfits.  It's hard to help but compare how big one is to another. 

Vance around 5 months old.

Tanner around 9 months old.

Porter around 5 months old (it was taken today so he's four days away from five months).

Tanner is indeed our runt.  :)  He chunked out to 21 pounds when he was four months old, but then stayed right around there until after he was a year old.  Vance kept getting fatter until he was 8 to 9 months.  Time will tell what Porter does, but obviously he has been taking more after Vance so far.  :)  My poor aching back...no, really....

Vance singing a song to Porter.  It's something I always sing to him and he loves it.  I call him Babycakes a lot so that is what Vance is saying.
