Getting over our illnesses

No one is on antibiotics, taking eye drops, or anything else.  Woo-hoo.  We got hit hard with being sick this get go around yucky.
Vance has been too big for his car seat for a while so we finally put him in a booster seat.  He is loving it.  He is constantly asking if we need to go somewhere so he can ride that way.  I am liking it too because he has an easier time buckling and unbuckling himself.
Tanner likes all of his stuffed animals and such to be his babies.  The little pigs are his "baby piggies".  He even made me help name them.  We have a Ham, Chops, B.B. (short for Bacon Bits), and Porky.  Don't ask me to tell them apart because I can't.
Here is a picture of Tanner writing a little note. He is doing good at reading now, but still has a lot of practicing to do when it comes to writing.
Porter gets jealous that the other boys have reading lessons and he doesn't so he likes to pull the book down and point to different words.  I wish he would say words when he does this.  He does make sounds though so that's something.
Stephen can entertain the boys so easily.
Since Stephen works on Monday evenings we try to do our Family Home Evenings on Sundays.  Last night we talked about Nephi. Here is Vance doing a maze to help Nephi find the Brass Plates.
Whenever I do the laundry Porter pulls out some of his brothers underwear and put it on over his clothes.  It was extra entertaining this morning because he was dancing to music I had playing.

New pictures

I couldn't handle having the pathetic picture of Tanner at the top of my blog anymore.  We took him to the doctor the morning after my last blog post to find out the poor kid had walking pneumonia.  He is on an antibiotic now and doing much better.  The last two days Porter hasn't been doing too well though, so we may have to take him in too.  Sickness really got us good this time around.  I don't know what happened!  Anyway, here are some more recent photos of the day.
The boys attacking Stephen with hugs before he heads to work.  This is a daily thing.
Friday night= study time for Stephen.  Super exciting.
My little sister came to town this weekend from BYU-Idaho.  She has a nice, new camera she got for Christmas and she took some pictures of the nieces and nephews.  I posted more below.
Rosemary with Tanner and Vance.  Porter wanted nothing to do with a picture so we left him out.
Porter was being real funny playing with these magic stars that Stephen folded this morning.

Here are some of my favorites that Rose took of the boys this weekend.  I think she did pretty good considering she isn't a photographer.
This is probably my favorite picture she took.
This picture just makes me laugh.
I don't know why, but Vance was real excited to have his picture taken and he was the most cooperative one of the group.  If only his school picture had looked this good.
Tanner took some bribing to do some shots of him, but he ended up posing and smiling cute for Rose.
Porter wanted nothing to do with having his picture taken.  Rose took the most pictures of him and this is about as good as it got.  He was not having it.  Maybe next time...

More sickness and Valentine's Day

Well, I would be lying if I said that last week was anything but rough.  As I mentioned in my last post Vance got pink eye and had a cold as well.  He was kind enough to pass his cold onto everyone and then nearly everyone has taken turns getting pink eye as well.
Poor Tanner go it next.  He is over that, but still not feeling well.  :(
Porter started getting a little discharge and his eye was a little pink so I started giving him eye drops as soon as I noticed that so he never had it very bad.  Thankfully.  However, one day he had a pretty high fever and he laid around doing nothing or sleeping all day.  Poor kid.
He did perk up the next day.  Thank goodness.  He always wants to play on the Wii with his older brothers and Dad, but sadly he just isn't old enough to understand it yet.  He still has a cough, but is otherwise good.
We have some farm animal magnets and alphabet magnets and I found this on on the fridge one day.  Vance had been trying to spell cow and pig.  I think he did pretty good.  Does cow really sound like it is spelled?  No, it doesn't.
On Sunday we went to my in-laws and the boys had fun making and playing with these little things. I don't know what they are called, but they sure had a blast flying pom-poms and marshmallows everywhere.
I found this idea on pinterest.  I am hoping that it helps my boys stay a little more quiet and entertained during Sacrament meeting.  I printed off and laminated a bunch of color pages and bought some dry erase crayons for them to color on.  They are church related except for the pictures of themselves that I converted to coloring pages.
Valentine's Day!  Vance was very excited to have a party and take his valentine's to school.  He came home with a heart full of valentines and candy.  Porter had fun helping him sort through all of his valentine's. Stephen got pink eye yesterday and has a sinus infection.  He stayed home from work, which was nice even though he spent his time doing school work and was sick.  It was still nice to have him around.
Tanner is still not feeling too good.  He wanted to play a game on the Wii tonight, but he didn't feel well enough to sit up so this is how he played.  Poor boy.
That pretty much wraps up our week.  I have not gotten pink eye.  (knock on wood)  I have been trying to clean every surface, wall, toy, and what not to get all the sick germs away.

Pink Eye and Stuff

Last week we got to play a little with some cousins.  My sister and her two girls and baby boy came over to play and visit.  It is nice to live close to them.  I took a picture of Porter showing his little cousin, Elliot his airplane.
Porter loves water bottles so we got him one of his own.  He also was looking pretty cute in the monster hat his Grandma Jeppson made him so I snapped a picture of the little cutie.
I took a picture of Vance and Tanner with their Ground Hog's Day projects.  Vance did his at school and Tanner's was something we did for preschool.
The boys are still loving their Skylanders.  One nice thing about them is that they are action figures as well as a part of a video game.  The boys were playing with them before church on Sunday.  They were telling Porter to point to certain ones.
Sadly, Vance had pink eye!  It started to develop on Sunday night so we got him an antibiotic and kept him home from school on Monday.  He is doing much better today.  He still has to have the drops put in his eyes though and he hates it!  Poor kid has a bit of a cold on top of it too.
The boys made Uncle Glen (who's on a mission) valentine's today.  The oldest two were practicing their writing.  Porter had fun coloring.  Now I just need to get them sent off...
You may have noticed that I didn't put in a couple of pictures.  One day I took a picture of our new state license plates and the other day I took a picture of our clean kitchen.  Noteworthy, but not interesting enough for the blog!  :)
