Finding Dory

We had planned to go to the air show on base this year.  We went when they had it a couple of years ago and enjoyed it.  Well, we got stuck in traffic for over an hour before decided that wasn't how we wanted to spend our day.  Instead we saw "Finding Dory".  Stephen and I saw "Finding Nemo"  13 years ago when we were newly engaged so it was fun to take our boys to the sequel.  We really enjoyed the movie too.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!  I have been so blessed by the father figures in my life especially my own father and the father of my children!

Here are the boys with Stephen on Father's Day all ready for church!
Had to get the silly face picture in as well.

Willow Park Zoo

Before we made our way to Cord's wedding we stopped at Willow Park Zoo in Logan and had a good time looking at the animals there.

Vance was so excited to see the owl they had.  I promise it is in there even though you can't see it in the picture.
Tanner and Porter's favorite part was seeing baby ducklings.  They are in the back by the fence.

Cord's Wedding

Brionne's younger brother, Cord got married the weekend after her so we made our way to Preston for his reception.  I don't have a picture of the bride and groom, but here is the origami quilt that Stephen made for them.

Just missing Eric as far as the siblings go.

Grandma Porter visits

My mom was able to come down and visit for a few days.  Unfortunately, my dad had to stay home and work, but we were sure glad to see Grandma!

We played at a splash pad one day!

The kids drying off and sadly my boy's shoulders all got burned!
Grandma Porter with my boys!
With my Mom!
Porter wanted to do a silly face picture with us so here it is.  :)

Stephen's Birthday

First off, some exciting news!  Stephen has been working as a contractor on base near our place for just under two years, but he was offered a government spot and will be starting that at the end of the month.  He'll actually be doing the exact same job, but with better pay and benefits.  We have been praying so hard that something of this nature would happen and it has.  We feel very blessed especially considering Stephen was chosen over many people who have been there much longer than him.  He will have to temporarily work swing shift for a little while.  We are not thrilled about that, but at least it is temporary!

On to Stephen's 35th birthday!  The kids decided he needed a dragon theme so Tanner and Vance drew dragon pictures and they all helped me find a dragon to make a sign with off the internet.
Stephen and the boys on his birthday!
The boys had free coupons to go miniature golfing so we decided to do that.  We actually went miniature golfing on Stephen's 30th birthday as well!
All ready for some mini golf!
It was pretty much Porter's first time old enough to try and actually get the ball in the hole!

Vance got a hole in one!

Believe it or not, Stephen and I tied for first place!  He is so much more athletic than me so it is nice to come close to beating him once in a while, even if it is mostly just luck!
We also ate a yummy lunch and got ready for my mom to come to town as well as visited with Stephen's parents.  We sure love Stephen, in fact he was going to work on his birthday, but the kids insisted he take it off and play with us instead!

Brionne's Wedding

My cousin, Brionne got married in the Logan temple.  Stephen and I took the opportunity to go to Logan and celebrate his birthday a little before heading to her luncheon and reception while his parents watched our kids.
We didn't attend the sealing, but we did drive around the temple grounds.  It reminded me of Rose's wedding day since she was sealed to Steven there a few years ago.
I'm not sure why this picture won't rotate the correct way, but Stephen has been making these beautiful origami quilts for weddings lately.  I love each of them.  We try to use their wedding colors when we can.  It is a fun, unique gift.  I hope the newlyweds always enjoy this gift.
Stephen being silly.  I made him put on a tie before the luncheon.  :)
The two of us at the Logan temple.
Brionne and her new husband, Chris.
Cousins!  We have so many cousins and I don't know any of them very well, but Brionne I feel I know a little better than many.  She is a sweet and lovely woman.  :)

First Week of Summer

We survived the first week of summer!

Here is our Sunday selfie for the week.
Tanner taught Porter how to draw Boba Fett.
We have a list of daily things to do everyday.  One of the things I want to do a few times a week is talk about modern day prophets.  Nothing big, just tell them a little about each one to familiarize them a bit with them.  The kids tried out pulling sticks after we learned that Joseph Smith was really good at that game.
Glen was working at Clearfield High School all week so we met him for lunch everyday at a couple of different parks.

Vance liked Glen's motorcycle.  The other two don't particularly care for it.
Tanner taught Porter to draw Jango Fett too.
 More park fun.
Holly and her kids came and had lunch with us a few times as well.  We were just missing Gigi for cousins on my side of the family.
Hard to get a picture of them all, but here they are.
