Sickness

We all took turns being sick on some level or another.  Stephen never really got it and Tanner's was mild.  Vance started it, then Porter, and then me.

One day Porter and I decided we were up for walking down the road to get a slurpee.  He was pretty excited about that!
Sadly, he dropped his slurpee before we went home and so most of it was gone.
He was pretty sad until he found some rolly-poly bugs to admire.
He convinced me to let him take them home and watch them in a jar for a little while.

P.A.L. program

The PAL program had an Art Gala for the 1-3rd graders in that program.  We were able to go and see Tanner's art display as well as watch a play/skit that his class wrote and put on all by themselves.
The PAL program has been great for Tanner and Porter's kindergarten teacher thought it would be a good thing for Porter as well so we decided to have him tested and he got in.  That means Porter will be attending Tanner's school next year as a first grader.  In fact, Tanner's teacher loops from 1st to 2nd grade so she has been his teacher for two years and now she'll be back in first grade and have Porter!

One day they invited the incoming PAL kids to come look around the classroom.  Tanner and Jillian stuck around to help show the new students around the classroom.

Haircut

I finally decided to go for it and chop my hair off.  It is much easier to take care of.  I'm still not sure how I feel about it yet though.
Here is our family selfie for the week.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  I am so grateful to all the wonderful mother figures I have in my life.  It is a blessing (sometimes a trial) to be a mother.  I am grateful for my three boys who give so much more meaning to my life.  Here I am with them before church.
 Tanner made me these gifts.
 Porter made me these gifts.
Vance also made something for me, but didn't bring it home from school on Friday.
Stephen made me this awesome origami crane that I can wear as a necklace.

Maybe next year I won't have to teach Relief Society on Mother's Day!

Rebecca's Wedding Reception

My cousin, Rebecca got married and we attended her reception on May 3rd.  It's hard sometimes to get a picture of the bride and groom when their is a long line (I don't like holding people up), but we took some pictures and they had a fun photo booth the kids enjoyed.  Stephen made them an origami quilt for a wedding gift.  Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Sean decided to photo bomb our picture.  :)
