Too bad he's so darn cute, isn't it?

Porter is growing up. He turned one last week. He had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday. He weights 26 pounds 15 ounces, which is actually a pound less than what he weighed at his last check up but when you are off the charts in the first place it's not too big of a concernt to lose a pound. He is also 30 1/2 inches long. Porter has been getting better and better at standing on his own. On Sunday he took his first step forward a couple of times. Since then he has continued to get braver. Here is a video of him taking a few steps yesterday. Today he has taken even more at a time. It's so fun to watch him grow. Vance thinks it is hilarious to watch him walk.

Having Porter turn a year old has made me reflect on when the other boys celebrated their first birthday. Here is a little look down memory lane.
Here is Vance on his first birthday in 2006.
Here is Tanner on his first birthday in 2008.
And of course, here is Porter on his birthday this year.
They are each a blessing to me. I love them so much!

We celebrated Porter's first birthday today with a little party that included both sets of grandparents. Lucky Boy! We had a little "On the Go" Party theme with airplanes, trains, trucks, and boats. Porter enjoyed the cupcakes I made and had fun with his new toys!

Porter is one! Time goes by so quickly. Babies grow so much their first year. Porter has been a joyful addition to our family. I am grateful that he is my son. It has been fun to watch him grow and hit different milestones in this past year. He is always jabbering, growling, or making other cute noises. He is a sweet guy. Since he was the third boy, I guess he decided he needed to be my biggest baby! I love him so much and feel so blessed to be his mother. Here is the video I put together of photos from his first year of life.
