Too cute

Some moments captured in a picture are just too cute not to share.  I'll probably put some more on facebook.  It seems easier for me to load lots of pictures on facebook so that's what I've been doing lately.

Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and I told the boys that part of my present was getting a picture with all three boys so here it is.  Porter was actually the one not wanting to cooperate this time.  I don't think he enjoyed sharing his mama's lap with his brothers. 

Porter's Blessing

Porter was blessed yesterday by his dad.  My dad and brothers along with Stephen's dad were there to stand in the circle as well.  The poor guy bawled through the whole blessing.  I don't think he liked being held that way and he was tired. He fell asleep the instant he was back in my arms.  It was a wondeful blessing, nonetheless.  Thank you to those who were able to make it for coming.  We missed those of you who weren't able to make it.

Bed Imposter

Vance got into our bed every night for the first 2 1/2 years of his life.  By then I had had enough and banned him from our bed during the night hours.  It was quite the struggle, as you might imagine to get him to stay in his bed, but we got through it.  He still tries to get in our bed on occassion. 

This, however, is his latest thing:

He crawls into Tanner's bed and falls asleep.  What kills me about it is that he actually crawls over, maybe so he can sleep by the wall,  I don't know.  Anyway, that is how Stephen found them last night and we've found him like that several times before.  Stephen always gets him back in his own bed, but it doesn't seem to ever bother Tanner to have an extra person in his bed.

Happy Birthday Dad

It's my Dad's birthday today so we went and celebrated with him.  I took about four or five pictures of the boys with Grandpa, but none of them were great so I posted the best one of my Dad.  We had a good time visiting and the boys enjoyed having some cake and ice cream.... okay, so did Stephen and I. 
When we were getting ready to leave my mom called someone a sweetheart (was it Vance?) He quickly informed her that was incorrect so she asked if different people were "sweetheart" and he kept telling her know and then he said that Stephen was "Sweetheart".  Well, that is what I call Stephen all the time so I guess it is so.  :)

When it rains it pours

Actually things are going okay, but does it seem like to anyone else that things are sailing right along and then all of a sudden something happens and that's followed by something else and so on and so forth?  Tanner started limping around over a month ago and we couldn't figure out why.  It was strange because he'd limp around and then be fine the next day and a few days would go by and he'd start limping again.  We would try to pinpoint where any pain was without any success.  It was perplexing to us especially since he'd go back and forth with it.  Well, last Thursday Tanner wouldn't walk on it.  He'd crawl around or get Stephen to carry him, but he wouldn't walk on it.  Porter had an appointment with the pediatrician that day so I mentioned to him what was going on with Tanner before we left and he had us go get x-rays done.  Today was his appointment with the pediatrician and we found out he has something called Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease.  You can click on the link to find out what that is.  We will have to take him to an orthopedic specialist to see how severe things are and go from there so I will keep you posted about it.  The good news is that it is treatable, although it can take up to 18-36 months and we caught it early so he shouldn't have any permanent problems as a result.  Anyway, that's what is going on with Tanner.  I'm sure glad I brought it up to the doctor because I honestly just thought he had pulled a muscle or something.  You never know with little kids whether to "bug" the doctor or not.  Tanner has been an excellent patient so far.  He is a trooper.

Can you believe that we've never had professional family pictures taken?   Pretty sad, isn't it?  I have three adorable little boys and no great family pictures to show off.  I was actually thinking that this summer we should do that (you know after some baby weight has come off this old body of mine) but then Stephen lost his job...  Anyway, my sister-in-law, Mandy informed me of a giveaway that a photographer in Tri-Cities is doing.  Check her out here.  Of course I want to win so wish me luck!  :) And if you live in the area you can enter into the giveaway as well.

One Month Old

Porter is already a month old and already over 12 pounds and he is 23 inches long.  He is trying to stay the biggest of my babies, I guess.  He is a sweetie and we love him so much!  I thought I would post all of my boys when they were a month old just for fun.  Here they are.
