Easter

I love Easter!  I love the focus on the Savior this time of year, I love that it is starting to slowly warm up outside, I love Easter candy (haha), I love new life and new clothes!  This year, however, I was asked to sing a solo in Sacrament meeting- no pressure. Ha!  It is a beautiful arrangement of "I Know That My Redeemer Lives".  I practiced and practiced my heart out, but I haven't sung in front of people by myself since high school and then it was on stage pretending to be someone else, quite different.  Anyway, I suppose I did okay.  I know I could sing it much better, but my nerves got the best of me.  My prayer was for others to feel the spirit and many told me they did so I guess it was mission accomplished.

Porter's 6th Birthday

My baby is 6!  I can hardly believe it.  I feel like he grows every single day.  Porter wanted a Captain America themed birthday and so I did my best to accomplish that.

 The cake was pretty easy to do with m&m's.  I had left over white ones from Valentine's Day clearance candy.

 

 He asked if we could go to McDonald's for lunch.  How can you say no to a birthday boy, especially knowing he'll be in school during lunch hours from here on out.

 Porter requested that we go to the Aerospace Museum for his birthday.  It was a little cold outside looking at all the planes they have out there, but I thought it was such a cute request.

 Porter had one of his book-it pizzas from Pizza Hut for dinner.
